Why Goodman Tested?
Goodman has always approached products with an engineering-minded, hands-on problem-solving style. Growing up around a family-owned hardware store helped develop a practical, resourceful approach to figuring out how things work, why they fail, and how they can be improved.
A professional background in methodical testing also reinforced the habit of questioning assumptions, documenting evidence, and looking beyond the obvious. Goodman Tested brings that mindset to everyday products.
The Goodman Test
The Goodman Test™ is the framework behind that approach. Depending on the product, testing may cover setup, usability, build quality, design details, real-world performance, durability, value, and buyer fit.
Each review will explain what was tested, how it was tested, and any limitations that affect the conclusions. When something cannot be verified with the available tools or testing time, that will be made clear.
Independence and Transparency
Reviews will reflect honest observations and conclusions, including both strengths and tradeoffs. Goodman Tested will explain how each product was obtained and disclose relevant brand relationships, including free or discounted products, reimbursements, payments, and sponsorships.
Companies may flag factual errors, but they do not approve reviews, control the opinions, ratings, or conclusions, or decide which findings are published.
